It’s not gold, but…..

… I’ll take it!  I got my bronze drake mount last night!  WOOT!

Zaralin on her Bronze Drake

Thank you to Nexultor, Davlin, Wandrit, and Mustafah for their awesome killing skills and poor rolling skills!!!  We breezed right through the Culling of Stratholme and took down the Time Keeper boss for the Culling of Time achievement.  I don’t even know what my roll was for the drake, I was just so excited to get it!

FYI – Davlin took video of us taking down the boss for the achievement.  Check it out here.  Pretty awesome!

Hordey, Hordey, Zara is 40!

Yep, you heard that right, Z is the big 4-0 today!!!!!

Now before anyone starts sending me condolences, please know that age doesn’t matter to me (and never has).  It only matters how you feel inside (no, not the squishy innards).  I will, of course, ignore the physical failings I have (bad back, bad shoulders, etc.) and blame those on my choice of occupation rather than age.

So, the hot tomato, Mustafah, has a really nice dinner out planned for the two of us at Blend.  Blend is a local gourmet restaurant that is FABULOUS!  Unfortunately, they got taken out with the flooding last year, but they have re-done everything and are ready for business.  I see lots of very good wine in my future…

At this point, I would like to thank the most important people in my life for helping me to become who I am today.  Of course, Mom and Dad get the big kudos (I miss you so much Dad!).   And my big brother, for torturing me endlessly as we were growing up, but always with love (cough, cough).  Then I include all of my wonderful friends (you know who you are) for always being there for me.  My daughter, Ameerah, for being such a sweet, smart, wonderful, thoughtful, brilliant, beautiful girl.

And then there is Mustafah, the love of my life.  He makes every day so special for me.  I am the luckiest woman in the world.  And I am so thankful that our lives converged the way they did so we had the opportunity to meet.  There are so many people out there that don’t ever meet their soul mate.  But, I am lucky.  I did.

And I have the answers…

I got tagged by that goof over at Epic Dwarven Blogger again. This time he is asking a bunch of really personal questions. So, let’s see…

1. What is your name, and where did it come from??
My name is Zaralin. I had a WoW dream about a new character and it was Zara…. Couldn’t remember the ending, so I messed with endings until I came up with Zaralin. My daughter approved, so I went with it.

2. How old are you, and what is your birthday?
Hmmm, rather impertinent question, but since I don’t feel age really matters, I will be 40 on March 26th.

3. Are you in love, and with whom?
Absolutely!  Haven’t you met Mustafah yet?  How can anyone not be in love with the man?

4. What is your favorite mount, and why?
Mustafah….you figure it out!

5. Do you prefer a certian type of Azerothonian meal, and where do you get it from?
I am a superior cook of Azerothian dishes.  I seem to eat Fish Feast and Firecracker Salmon a lot.  The problem?  I absolutely HATE fish!

6. You know those giant mushrooms in Zangarmarsh? What is your theory on how they came to be, and why they are so huge?
I think you have been smoking the “wacky weed” a bit too much.  The mushrooms are all normal size.

7. If you saw the Lich King walking towards you, what would you do?
I would walk up to him very seductively, then kick him in the groin.  After that, I would make him bow down to me and exalt me as the new Queen.  Victory for women everywhere!

8. (Dav added this one) Be honest, how many times have you used the Grizzly Hills outhouse without any real reason?
Davlin, you are one sick dwarf.  I used it once, it was hilarious, but once was enough.

I am really new at the blogging thing, so I don’t know anyone to tag, except those already listed.  If you want to be tagged, let me know and I will tag you!

Tagged – Here is my 6th screenshot

I got tagged by Davlin. I am not big on the screenshots (i.e., I am not as vain as Dav). Anyway, this is my best buds and I running in Halls of Stone. I noticed it kind looked like we were superheroes. But Davlin wouldn’t stop jumping around and Dezaras had no clue what I was trying to do (the rest of us were sitting in our living room together). So, kind of superhero-ish, kind of not.

Guest Hosting

So, before about three weeks ago, I had never listened to a podcast.  Ever.  No, seriously.  Yes.  I am THAT lame.

Anyway, my good buds, Davlin and Nexultor, started the Epic Dwarven Blogger podcast.  The first episode was hilarious!  The second episode was released about a week and a half later.  While they had an awesome guest, Mustafah, the sound quality was so bad, I could barely listen.  I think there was something about “I hit stuff and it dies.”  Sorry guys, that is about all I got out of it.

They wanted to have episode 3 be about healing, so they found the most awesomest druid healer named Zaralin that they could find.  Yes, you read that right.  I am the only druid healer named Zaralin they know, so they asked me.  Anyway, believe it or not, I am a bit on the shy side (actually very far on the shy side).  I bluster a lot so it looks like I am not, and of course, you can’t be shy around Dav and Nex.   They will both talk incessently and make you laugh so hard, you forget about it.

Back to the story, I arrive at Nex’s apartment to do the podcast.  Oops!  The shyness is taking over and I am giggling like a school girl doing my outtro (you know, the opposite of intro).  So, I quickly down a wonderful screwdriver (the drink, not the tool, you pervert).  Dav covers, saying that I brought Kungaloosh.  So, I finally relaxed and had a great time.  I talked a LOT more than I expected I would.  AND, I was a LOT nicer to Davlin than I usually am (he is the little brother that I never wanted, but Mom & Dad wouldn’t exchange him for the puppy I wanted).

We had a great time.  Interested in hearing it?  I am told I have a really cute northern accent.  Check it out.  Have fun.  Do whatever.  Comment if you feel like it.  If you like it, you can subscribe to the Epic Dwarven Blogger on iTunes.
