Stay On These Roads

What you find below may make you throw up a little bit in your mouth…

If you are faint-hearted DO NOT READ FURTHER!
You were warned!

Ya’ll who know me (or have followed me over the years) know that I am married to a total hot tamale named Mustafah.

This is “Our Song” in a live, acoustic version that I have never heard before. It absolutely took my breath away. I felt I must share!

Why is this our song, you ask? Okay, so you didn’t ask, but I am going to tell you anyway!

Both Mustafah and I had many roads to chose while starting out in the real world. While we (usually me) did not always make the best choices, we stayed on the roads that felt right to us.

And we did meet. And we will stay on these roads together now. For us, this song says it all.  Hey – you were warned!

The cold has a voice
It talks to me
Stillborn, by choice
It airs no need
To hold

Old man feels the cold
Oh baby don’t
‘Cause I’ve been told

Stay on these roads
We shall meet, I know
Stay on – my love
We shall meet, I know
I know

Where joy should reign
These skies restrain
‘Shadow your love’
The voice trails off again

Old man feels the cold
Oh baby don’t
‘Cause I’ve been told

Stay  on these roads
We  shall meet, I know
Stay on – my love
You feel so weak, be strong
Stay  on, stay on
We shall meet, I know
I know

I know, my love, I know
